Meeting critical
demand
Supply chain security
Reliable and unhindered access to certain Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) is a growing concern within the EU and across the world. CRMs are of huge importance to the EU economy, but also have a high supply risk. Demand is expected to rise exponentially in the coming years. Supply chain security is therefore an urgent priority for governments and industries.
Decarbonisation
Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) due to burning fossil fuels are the main cause of observed climate change. Decarbonisation is therefore the major goal of most developed economies in line with the 2015 Paris Agreement. This requires that we have materials available to produce renewable energy. Our production of necessary materials will therefore contribute to decarbonisation.
Responsible production
Sustainable consumption and production are key to Norge Mineraler’s aim to promote resource and energy efficiency, circular infrastructure, and provide access to improved services, future oriented careers and a better quality of life.
A cornerstone in collaborative resource development
Norway’s minerals are the focus of increasing outside attention, with the demand for metals and minerals needed for green technologies surging.”
