Our approach

We explore access to the resources needed to develop our products – including energy, water and raw materials. A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will indicate the emission intensity per ton of concentrate produced, based on the source of the inputs and the quantities used in the production process.

Norwegian power production for electricity is largely renewable based. It facilitates reducing the carbon profile in supply chains – meeting the zero-emission target and meeting international commitments. This appeals to a variety of potential customers.

We are also investing in research and development and partnering with technology leaders to leverage the best emerging innovations to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

Norwegian industry is clean

Norway’s hydropower resources power almost 90% of renewable power production in the country. As an energy-rich country, Norway has been strong in the development of modern industrial companies.

Further development of this power tradition will continue in the future and help ensure that Norway are well equipped for the green shift. Wind power from offshore wind farms and other renewable energy developments combined with upgrades and development of the power grid will build on this forward-looking energy mix.
